Fahad Syed

Registered Provisional Psychologist

My primary areas of focus include trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and psychological injuries related to motor vehicle accidents (MVAs). I am passionate about supporting individuals who are navigating a range of traumatic experiences, including childhood trauma, distressing life events, and the emotional impact of accidents. I also work with individuals coping with significant loss, changes in important relationships, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns that may affect daily functioning, relationships, and overall well-being.

I believe that every person deserves a safe, supportive space in which to explore their experiences, better understand themselves, and develop strategies for healing and personal growth. My approach is grounded primarily in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and is informed by elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based approaches, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), depending on each client’s unique needs and goals.

A strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment—an environment grounded in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. Together, we work to understand your experiences, identify meaningful goals, and develop practical strategies at a pace that feels comfortable and appropriate for you.

Outside of my practice, I enjoy staying active through volleyball and basketball, playing games, travelling, and spending meaningful time with family and friends. I also value being connected to and involved in my community.

I offer services in English, Hindi, and Urdu.
